DO YOU HAVE A WILL?

May 7, 2020 by Alpass & Associates

Giving consideration to creating a Will is an important step that will help you feel organised and bring peace of mind to both you and your loved ones. It is essential that your wishes are clearly laid out should anything unexpected happen.

A Will gives you the choice and control over how you wish your estate to be distributed and simplifies the process for your family and loved ones in administering your estate. Without a Will, your family could otherwise be left with the difficult task of sorting out your affairs at a distressing time.

It is important to update your Will if your circumstances change. We suggest that you review your Will at least every five years to ensure your assets are distributed the way you want.

When drafting your Will, it is important that we have an understanding of your asset pool. Assets may include your home, bank accounts, shares and investments.   If you have superannuation, it is an opportunity to check your death benefit nomination so that you properly nominate the person/s you intend to benefit from your fund.

Making a Will is a vital part of your estate planning. With our knowledge and experience, we can ensure your wishes are documented without complications.
